French Corps d’armée (Mid-Late War) ESR Box Set

The French Corps d'armée was greatest organizational innovation to come to fruition during the Napoleonic Wars.

A combined arms organization; the Army Corps utilized infantry, cavalry, and artillery under the singular command of a Marshal of the Empire, or a senior general.

Effectively a miniature army, it was the first truly modular Force, the Army Corps was built through the assignment of two or more infantry divisions – each with their own light infantry and artillery – with a brigade or more of light cavalry, and a powerful artillery reserve.
